"Providing virtual nutrition counseling with Whole Self has been one of the most rewarding developments in my personal and professional life thus far. I adore being able to blend my nutrition background, counseling skills, and passion for people to help clients navigate the harder moments, while also getting to celebrate the wins. And through it all, I get to continue to explore and strengthen my own relationships with body and mind alongside them. I couldn’t be more thankful to have found a practice full of providers and clients who work together seamlessly to create a person centered environment for healing."

About Sydney
Sydney is a spirited woman who has loved being able to combine her passions and personal experience into her career. Being someone who battled her own disordered relationships with food and movement, she cares deeply about helping her clients unlearn diet culture and reclaim joy in nourishing their bodies.
Sydney loves to provide clients and their families with nutrition education rooted in science and rich in analogies! She believes in providing individualized care and understands that your road to recovery is as unique as you are.
Sydney has a master of science in nutrition and works at an eating disorder treatment facility and has worked at inpatient, residential, and PHP levels of care. In addition to being an RD, Sydney is also a certified personal trainer and has experience working with a wide demographic of clients. She is excited to be able to offer recovery-centered, HAES, and trauma-informed personal training sessions. She knows that addressing movement in recovery can be a messy process, and looks forward to guiding clients at their own pace.
Out in the wild, you might find her at the dog park with her fur child Finnegan or on the Beltline trying to relearn how to rollerblade. She loves baking muffins without a recipe and is notorious for propagating plants all around her house.

Aside from her nutrition education, Sydney completed 1,200 hours of supervised dietetics practice in various settings. She has additional education in various nutrition topics, including sports nutrition, polycystic-ovarian syndrome, gut microbiome, yoga & eating disorders, bone health, GLP-1s, autism and eating disorders, sustainability, and the brain & eating disorders. She receives ongoing supervision from practice owner & nutrition therapist Caroline Young, MS, RD, RYT, and registered dietitian & nutrition therapist Tracy Brown, RD.
